Difference Between TrackingPoint Scopes

Cascade Scope

The Cascade scope is TrackingPoint's original scope and operating system. It is larger and heavier but with the larger scope you get more digital zoom capabilities and clarity.

Batteries are held in the scope [Cascade TP Battery].

Ares Scope

The Ares Scope is TrackingPoint's second-generation scope and operating system. The system is more compact and balanced with its lightweight scope and new buttstock battery compartment. The Ares system has more night-time capabilities with the option of Gen-3 and Thermal attachments. The Ares rifles also have the rapid-lock trigger system which allows you to tag targets on trigger pull. Batteries are held in the buttstock [Ares Battery]

Remington 2020/Rhino Scope

The Rhino scope is a stand-alone scope with no electronic trigger. The system completes ballistic calculations and then indicates to the shooter when to pull the trigger at the optimal time to hit the desired target. Batteries are held in the scope [2020/rhino battery]

We are hoping to have more of the cascade batteries in inventory soon. If you send us a support message on the blog home page or email us at support@trackingpointsupportblog.com we can put you on the call-back list for when they arrive.

Why do I see some ARES without the barrel reference system? Are the first gen systems soldered onto the barrel? What happens if they're canted about 5 to 10 degeees?

My XS1 appears canted as well and I also thought it was broken or that the barrel had somehow twisted when I first got it.
